Ferret Den Ferrets Looking for a Permanent Home
The
foremost thought in your mind when thinking of adopting from a shelter
should be giving a needy animal a home, not how young or cheap you can
acquire a ferret

Zoie and Bandit were dumped by
someone who just didn’t want anything to do with them anymore. Zoie has a
cyst on her side, which we are hoping can be easily removed and Bandit is
going to receive a melatinc implant and lupron shot or go in for adrenal
surgery. They both love people and want and need lots of attention. They
also seem to get along with other ferrets. |

Wesley and Drake were brought
to the shelter late one evening. Their owner had lost his job and place of
residence. The ferrets were staying in a carrier in his car and he knew this
was not good for them. The ferrets seem friendly and well behaved. Their
owner seemed to really care for them but had no choice but to surrender
them. |

Mandy is
an adorable, very playful oldster. Her owner who had her since she was a
baby brought Mandy to the shelter. He stated right out, no one wanted to
care for her anymore. Mandy hops and jumps around like a two year old. She
is probably thrilled to be let out of her cage. |

Name:
Molly Molly is a very solid girl with a tail that is maybe 2 inches long. She came to us from a girl who got her off of Craig’s list. She was told Molly was one and a half and got along with other ferrets. Both statements were false. Molly is definitely a single. She plays well by herself and has a great time. |

Name: Corky We picked Corky up from Milwaukee Animal Control. He had been brought in as a stray. Corky is a stocky, well-behaved little guy. He loves people and is all over you immediately when he is out. Corky’s hearing is right on. The minute you stand by his cage and call his name he flies out of his sleep cube and is by the door. Corky now is sharing a cage with Dixie. |

These two are wild and crazy.
They were not handled very much and both are naughty little biters. The
girls play well together and love to chase but at this time they would
definitely need an experienced owner. |

wanted desperately to keep him but couldn’t. She was moving in with a very
sick relative to do home care for her and Tyke was not allowed. |

Name:
Quizno Sex: Male Color: Marked White Date of Birth: 05/26/07 Quizno came to us from M.A.D.A.C. They had given him a bath because he was so yellow. Nothing washed out so Quizno’s coloring is going to stay this way unless it was the food he was eating or what he was kept in. Only time will tell. Quizno is wild and playful. He does the weasel war dance so jubilantly he knocks himself into things. Quizno is one happy fellow. |

These two handsome boys were picked up and brought in to the shelter for the simple reason they were not using the litter box in their cage. The guys have not missed since their arrival. Alfredo and Parmesan are friendly, alert and very playful. The boys play out in a group of nine. If we did not have so many ferrets of our own they would have been adopted the day after their arrival and upstairs with us. |
